Amazon has recently announced a New Feature for Collect Vendors within the 3rd Step of the Shipment Process. The new feature was created to help simplify the process for Collect Vendors. Earlier this year, the 3rd Step was initially announced, and improvements are already being implemented. Read on to learn what has changed and how to use the new feature.
What has changed for collect vendors?
Beginning in November 2022, a new feature will be available within the 3rd Step of the shipment process. Amazon has been making a lot of changes to their shipment process in recent months. We have previously covered the recent additional 3rd step for Collect Vendors here.
Collect Vendors are vendor’s who get their shipments picked up from your facility by Amazon’s shipping carriers directly. Amazon pre-selects shipment dates/times, however, starting soon, a new feature will appear under the 3rd step for collect vendors: an option to adjust the pick-up date and time by choosing from a list of pick-up times with 2-hour windows for truckload shipments.
How does this change impact collect vendors?
The new feature improves the shipment experience and provides much more flexibility. Amazon created the option to help vendors maintain or improve their pick-up performance for TL shipments. We recommend collect vendors to take advantage of the new feature especially if you have struggled with shipment pick-up performance in the past.
