Blue Wheel Media Recognized at MarCom Awards With 8 Wins
Troy, MI – January 15, 2016 – Blue Wheel Media is proud to announce our participation in the 2015 MarCom Awards. A creative competition open to companies across the country, MarCom has grown to accept roughly 6,000 entries per year, with winners ranging from individuals to Fortune 500 companies and media conglomerates.
A wide range of companies competed at the 2015 MarCom Awards, including Bacardi, AIG, Deloitte, Fifth Third Bank, Girl Scouts, IBM, Hilton, and Hubspot to name a few. Blue Wheel Media was honored in the following categories:
Platinum Awards (MarCom’s Highest Category):
1. Blog Design for Metabolic Nutrition’s M-Lab Blog
Strong blog content is only made stronger by a powerful blog design. The M-Lab Blog is a combination of two larger categories, Science Center and Ask Our Scientist, with a design that is sleek and simple to navigate while reflecting the vision of the brand.
2. Website Redesign (from old site) – Metabolic Nutrition
Similarly, the Metabolic Nutrition website was completely overhauled for their new brand identity. The new site is well organized, visually appealing, responsive, functional for e-commerce, and simple to navigate.
3. Marketing, Pr, Advertising Agency Website – Bluewheelmedia.com
In 2015 one of our biggest in-house projects involved a redesign of our own company’s website, which now features an award-winning sizzle reel, a number of informative case studies, and a minimalistic yet visually compelling design.
Gold Awards (2nd Highest MarCom Category):
1. Branding Refresh: #UnleashYourSuperhero Rebrand + Campaign (Metabolic Nutrition)
To bolster Metabolic’s branding refresh, the #UnleashYourSuphero campaign was created. This involved coordination and direction of a photo shoot in Las Vegas, with finished photography that included spliced images to represent an unenthused average person on the left and someone who is able to Unleash Their Superhero on the right, implying the strength and energy that Metabolic products can provide.
2. Business-to-Business Website: Trevco
Trevco, Inc. is the leading wholesale licensed apparel manufacturer in the United States. Customers can browse hundreds of unique products and order in bulk wholesale quantities, necessitating a web experience that makes online shopping easy and effective.
3. Website Redesign (from old site) – LSG Insurance Partners
LSG Insurance Partners is the largest privately held insurance agency in Michigan. Because they work with their customers to think outside the box when it comes to commercial insurance, Blue Wheel Media set out to rebrand the company to make them truly stand out from the competition, which included a sleek and powerful new website.

Platinum Awards are given to those entries judged to be among the most outstanding entries in the competition, chosen for their excellence in terms of quality, creativity and resourcefulness, while the Gold Award is given to entries that exceed the high standards of the industry norm.
