Blue Wheel is looking for a Paid Search and Social Media Buyer to join our digital media buying team. This person should be tactical, love “playing the game” of digital media buying, and determining how to develop strategic methods for accomplishing our client’s advertising goals and objectives. Our ideal candidate can not only drive strategy but also can actually roll their sleeves up and launch and implement campaigns and optimization recommendations in the various platforms.

Required Paid Media Platform Expertise (Note: Must have proven track record of accomplishing goals and objectives with positive ROAS/ROI)

  • All Paid Search (Google/Bing/Yahoo – Google Shopping Ads/RLSA)
  • Paid Facebook/Instagram (DPAs, etc.)
  • Retargeting ( AdRoll/GDN/Criteo)

Preferred Paid Media Platform Experience (Not required):

  • Outbrain/Taboola
  • Pinterest
  • LinkedIn
  • Programmatic

Responsibilities:

  • Develop creative, strategies, campaigns, monitors, and improves towards ROAS goals.
  • Implement & optimize campaigns, audiences and creatives in relevant platforms
  • Track historic and projected media costs and analyze trends.
  • Gather, organize and present competitive research and spending data as requested.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and digital media buying tactics
  • Maintain strong/professional rapport with internal sales representatives.
  • Make special recommendations to be presented to the client and key account management personnel that are new and profitable ideas to grow clients’ business.
  • Coordinate insertion orders/contracts for all media buys.
  • Keep all media files relating to specific clients.
  • Notify traffic and account services of material deadlines and assist traffic department when needed
  • Negotiate and manage client promotions.
  • As requested, participate in client meetings, strategy sessions and presentations as a representative of media department.
  • Work with Account Executives to answer media-related questions
  • Resolve billing discrepancies, verify placement and production quality of all media placements, and coordinates make-goods as needed.
  • Assist accounting department in reconciling variances and assuring proper payments. Processes changes on media buys for all assigned accounts.

Key Skills/Requirements:

  • Can navigate most Paid Search & Social platforms blindfolded with 2+ years experience.
  • An eye for creative is big for us! As you know, how the ad looks on social is key!
  • Ability to work with a wide range of people, including clients, sales people and internal staff.
  • Must be good with numbers and able to analyze research data to determine best placement for the client's needs.
  • Detail-oriented, strong negotiator and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Beast in Excel and PPT!
  • Must be well organized and able to handle pressure well.
  • Strong problem solving and communications skills (both written and oral).
  • Familiar with the beauty industry and how leading beauty brands engage on social channels is a major plus!
